TAST week 3, chain stitch

This week the chain stitch is the stitch of the week at Sharon's blog.

This idea comes from the book of Carole Samples.
This cottage ciggy was a gift from Pat Winter, I added some flowers. The hollyhocks with buttonhole stitch was an idea from Susan N. what she used on a heart the last week.
Thanks Susan. I have no idea what to do on the other seams above the cottage. All suggestions are welcome.

Overhanging limbs of tree leaves? I'm not a crazy quilter so it might be better to wait for another comment or your own inspiration. You've certainly done a beautiful work with this. I love the varied flowers surrounding the house. The walkway and the open gate look so inviting.

Ati, all your seams are so pretty. I love the one from Carole's book. I'll have to look for that one.

As for the above - over on the left, maybe something with vines, and is there space for a spider web? And above, how about trying one of those circular motifs in yellow to be a sun - maybe a few clouds in stem stitch? Just a little brainstorming. Not sure how much room you have up there. A bird? There was a pretty bird on Lillian's (crazy seoul sister) blog yesterday.

I love the flowers around the cottage, I share Susan's idea of a spider in the right corner.

What perfect stitches Ati. I like Elizabeths idea of a tree limb, or extend the tree that is in the print (gee, where did I get that idea from. LOL). My first thought was a wistria vine.
Of course, you can never go wrong with a spider web.
