Tast week 25, long short stitch

My first long-short stitch ever. I am surprised about the result, it took me 2 hours.
I drew the butterfly myself with a pencil first ,on the fabric.
It is on my TAST sampler. I have used one strand silk floss.
I am from the quilt world and have not much embroidered before.

Ati, how beautiful! What a wonderful job you did. My first long-short stitch embroidery was a butterfly too... they are nice to play with graduation of colors. :)

As an embroiderer I am very impressed with your butterfly. You are an inspirations to me - I have pulled out the first CQ block I pieced and I will now try to finish it!

Gorgeous butterfly! I may try a bit of that on your 12 Dancing Princesses! I can't work on it until tomorrow, because I have to let the silkie I printed dry 24 hours.
