fabric book ready

First I made a double fabric strip, 1,5 cm wide, on the left side of the pages.
Then I sewed them together with a 5 mm bead in between for some 'space'.

The cover was ready made a year ago.. The pages are 15cm square, I made the cover 16 cm+ 5 cm for the spine+ 16 cm for the back. And 16 cm high. Added extra sturdy fabric in the spine.
Then I sewed 6 buttons on the spine and with every stitch I sewed the spine stitches with the button stitches on the outside.

Et voila: a fabric-book!

Thanks to all the 13 participants from the Fibre-fever group. It is a lovely book!

Heel mooi Ati ik heb de maten opgeschreven , ik doe mee met een crazy quilt bom en daar maak ik ook een kaart formaat, en die wil ik dan ook zo opbergen.

Good Day Ati, I am behind at looking at all your lovely creations.

I absolutely LOVE your beautiful cottage garden fabric book. It is truly beautiful. I have always wanted to create one too.

Loreza Block is truly beautiful and the stitching on it is stunning. your CD wool felted Snowflake is awesome. I really love it. I also really love your felted Heart. It is also great. I also really really love your wee pink crochet rose. It is so delicate and perfect. You are a very talented lady Ati and I always enjoy visiting your blog. Hugs Judy

Will you ever read this - I am so late, only found your blog now through Trillian and it is exactly what I am thinking about already for weeks - how to bind my little 12 cm pages of embroidery samples. I think this is a very good idea with the beads inbetween the pages. But I did not quite understand how you fixed the pages to the cover - just in the places underneeth the buttons??
