CQJP block September

On September 4th 2012 there was a nice rainbow in the sky. I made this photo quickly trough my living-room window that day.
It was the day of the memorial service for my dear Simon.
When I had to sew and embroider the September block for my monthly page in my fabric book, I couldn't do anything else than embroider that rainbow on shirt fabrics.
Used shirts.
I also made a music line.
The music which was played when we left the church.
The lace butterflies are the symbol that life never ends.
My DH will be in my heart forever and his spirit will guide me in difficult hours.
The little glass beads are my tears.
They come often....

The lace flower was in the gift package from Nicky Lee.
The size of the block is 20x20 cm ( 8")
Now I shall start with the October block.

Ati you are being so strong and courageous, I can tell how much your are missing your beloved, I will keep you on my prayers a while longer.

How lovely for the rainbow to appear the day of the memorial service certainly a message from your beloved along with God. Years ago in 1984 when we came out of the Church following my Dad`s funeral there was the most beautiful sunset, your rainbow reminded me of this and how it lifted my heart

Kjære Ati. Så nydelig både brodert og skrevet. Det var sangen som ble spilt i kirken også. Ha en fin kveld i det fine måneskinnet. Klem Ruth.

Not an easy month for you Ati but your block is beautiful and you have sewn your love for your DH into it. My stepdaughter is including butterflies in her wedding preparations to bring her father closer to her. He died when she was 15 and loved butterflies.

Dear Ati
What a most special gift that rainbow presented you with on the day of the memorial service for Simon. He will always now live on in your heart with butterflies, music and rainbows!
What a most special way for you to remember him through your sewing and patchwork.
Love and big warm hugs as you go through the days alone,
