a change, moving

Dear blog friends.
I have to make an appoligize to all of you.
No embroidery or quilting to see.
I have made two shabby chic journals as gifts but didn’t take photo’s.
The few of you who follow me on facebook are a bit updated now and then.
The last months have been very busy for me.
In the summer it was the garden which took all the time I had.
Later my health became not good, I struggle with high blood pressure and a sore back.
After a  long struggle with my feelings and many tears I have decided to sell this beautiful spot and our house.
I shall move to the Netherlands. To the area I come from.
I have found a nice senior apartment, so called 55+,  and shall move in the next month.
It will be a big change, we came here 12 years ago in Norway and have had the intension to grow very old here.
Unfortunately it didn’t work out the way we had hoped for.
When I am settled in my new home I really hope I can pick up my hobby’s again and finish fabric books and crazy quilts which are halfway.
I hope to have more time to write my blog and keep you updated what I am doing.
At the moment my livingroom looks like a warehouse ;-)

Until then, hugs, Ati

I wish you the best in your move and know you will find new joys there. I shall miss the fantastic photos from Norway...but I certainly understand. It takes two of us to keep the farm going and if anything happened to either one of us the other would have to move... You have many lovely memories from there to take with you... Much love and hugs... Gerry.

I have missed you so very much and it is wonderful to see you posting again.

I know what it is like to leave a home that you have loved - it is a huge wrench - but gradually in your new home - you will find that it is for the best. Your health will improve, you will make new friends and will have your wonderful memories and photos, and your posts on this blog to savour for many years to come.

Wishing you every happiness in your new home and looking forward to you regaining your health and strength and enjoying life and crafting again

God Bless

Hello Ati,

I 'hear' the sadness and pain in your post, and it leaves a great heaviness in my heart for you.

I wish you the very best in your new life, and your new home.

Take care, my dear friend!

It is so hard to give up dreams we have had. But, I hope that the changes ahead will bring you happiness, and that, in time, you'll create a new home.
Moving is very hard, so do be kind to yourself, and take care. Hugs

So sorry that you are having to move and leave the home of yourself and dear husband. I know that this is not an easy thing to do when you have put so much love and energy into your home. My prayer for you is that all of your memories will give you peace as you pack and move into your new home. May your heart find joy and happiness in your new home, along with many new wonderful memories. Keeping you in my prayers and wishing you the best. May your creative muse come back to you in your new home. I am looking forward to seeing all the lovely fabric books and crazy quilts that you will be making. Take care Ati, I wish you much happiness and love on this new adventure in your life. May your days be filled with love, happiness, joy and of course much stitching.

Dear Ati,
It has been a struggle for you this last year or two, I know. Your love for Norway and your home there will always be in your heart. And I think you are perhaps looking forward to being close to family again (?). Have a safe journey. Know that your friends are all wishing you love, happiness and good health. Please let us know when you are settled, dear heart. Love and hugs, Cathy

We have missed you. But, the move will probably be good for you and senior living will be far less work than your home is now. Be well, be safe and be happy. We all look forward to hearing from you when you are settled in, if not before.

Oh, Ati, I am so sorry to hear that you must move. Things don't always work out the way we think they will, do they? I look forward to hearing more about your new life in the Netherlands apartment. I hope you will have family and friends close by. I know you will miss the view from your home there in Norway, but many good memories go with you.

I love your work, your blog and feel like all my CQ friends are members of my extended family. I know change is hard, but your new place looks wonderful. It will be hard at first to get used to. I am sure you will miss your house (loved the pictures you shared) but you won't be a stranger to your new area since I believe you lived in that area before. I hope you will be happy, more secure, and will continue to share your awesome work with all of us for years to come. God Bless you. Sondra
